Historian and author Alan Taylor will be speaking this Wednesday (Sept. 5th) at 7pm in the Giltz Auditorium in Hawkins Hall as part of the Battle of Plattsburgh celebration.
He has published books on the War of 1812 and on the northern American border.
The library has copies of his books:
- The divided ground : Indians, settlers and the northern borderland of the American Revolution.
- The civil war of 1812 : American citizens, British subjects, Irish rebels, & Indian allies.
- American colonies.
- William Cooper's town : power and persuasion on the frontier of the early American republic.
